Understanding Newcomer Experiences of Inclusion

A message from the Centre for Race and Culture

Are you a newcomer to Canada?

We want to know your thoughts on your settlement process for our survey! You will get a $10 Tim Horton’s gift card for completing our survey on newcomer inclusion in Alberta.

The Understanding Newcomer Experiences of Inclusion (UNEOI) is a two-year community-based research project looking at newcomers’ experiences of settlement, integration, and inclusion and how this impacts well-being. This is an opportunity for newcomers to share their experience, and contribute knowledge to the area of newcomer settlement in Alberta.
For the purpose of our research, we define as ‘newcomer’ immigrants and refugees who have lived in Canada for up to 10 years.

We are also looking for possible participants in a focus group: the group will be approximately 90 minutes long, and can be scheduled for a time and place that is convenient for the participants. Participants will receive a $25.- gift card and catering will be provided. Please contact the research coordinator Myriam Gerber at [email protected]
