Alberta’s response

Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) in partnership with the Edmonton Catholic Social Services and Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) is pleased to offer a series of information sessions on the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program. Individuals and groups can join one of the Zoom presentations and learn how to sponsor refugees.

If your family members are outside of their home country and have sought asylum in another country, they can be sponsored to Canada via the PSR program by a Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH), a Group of Five or a Community Sponsor.

Refugees being sponsored by Groups of Five and Community Sponsors must have been recognized as refugees, as they must include a copy of their refugee status document with the application package.
