AGTC 2021: Call for Speakers

Over the last 10 years the annual Global Talent Conference was known as one of Edmonton’s premium events for Internationally Educated Professionals who are looking to connect with, and be inspired by, leaders from the Edmonton business community. This year the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) will co-host the first Alberta Global Talent Conference with our counterpart in Calgary, the Calgary Region Immigrant Employment Council (CRIEC), and it will be provided virtually.

The AGTC 2021 is a no for cost for participants and speakers. Please find below a summary of the key highlights:

Theme: Redefining Mentoring and Networking

Target Group: 1000 internationally educated professionals and local business leaders

When: Thursday, February 25th, 2021 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Where: Virtual, Whova Platform

The AGTC 2021 Call for Speakers is an open invitation.

  • We sincerely hope that you could give a talk to the diversity of participants.
  • Increase numbers of renowned speakers have confirmed their participation.

If you are interested in giving a talk, please email your speaker’s proposal to [email protected] by December 15th, 2020.

Advice about speaker proposals:

1- We are especially looking for talks on the topics of the importance of mentorship and networking. Proposals submitted on these topics have a higher chance of being accepted. Please review our Conference Tracks here

2- The AGTC 2021 aim for a balanced representation of backgrounds, genders, ethnicities, ages, and roles for its speakers.

3- ERIEC and CRIEC are non-for-profit organizations, however a modest honorarium will be discussed at the proposal acceptance.
