WiSER is hosting a virtual scavenger hunt for WinSTEM week 2021! Join us to play games, solve clues, answer trivia, and more! And the best part, everything will be women in STEM themed. The Accelerated Cybersecurity Training Program is a 7 month, intensive cybersecurity training and certification program designed to give promising candidates the skills they need to launch careers in cybersecurity, provided by Ryerson University. The Program is tuition-free through the support of the Government of Canada, Rogers Communications, and Royal Bank of Canada. The value of the program is $25,000 CAD per student. Upon acceptance into the program, a $500 registration fee is required.
Action for Healthy Communities will be hosting group interviews with Compass-Canada to hire Concessions staff at Rogers Place. When: September 29 and October 8, 2021 Priority: candidates who are fully vaccinated and will be available for all Rogers Place Oilers events, also willing to get ProServe (Attendant/Hawker) certificate. Food Safety certificate-online training will be provided after the applicant get hired.
Canada has announced the resettlement of up to 20,000 vulnerable Afghan nationals to Canada. This will be done through 2 programs. Alberta’s response: Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) in partnership with the Edmonton Catholic Social Services and Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS) is pleased to offer a series of information sessions on the Private Sponsorship of Refugees (PSR) program. Individuals and groups can join one of the Zoom presentations and learn how to sponsor refugees.
