The first event of this year’s Smart Connections program themed Leveraging You Presentation Skills was hosted by Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council ( ERIEC ) on June 15th, 2017 at the Matrix Hotel, Edmonton.
The keynote presentation was made by Gord Sheppard on how to create awesome meetings and how to be effective in marketing yourself at a job interview, networking event or any other gathering.
A panel of HR experts shared their perspectives on some core job search questions: looking for a job, pre-screening process, the job interview and more. The number of participants that gathered around the panellists at the end of the event, all waiting for their turn to have a brief chat is a testament to how important the information from the panellists meant to the participants and how much more they all needed.
