There is a new’ web-based resource that is working to ‘connect’ immigrant job seekers with employment. This new resource is called Jobsforimmigrants.ca and is the first ‘immigrant focused’ job directory in Canada.

They are currently working on expanding their network to include diverse job seekers of all talents and skills as well as job opportunities from businesses and organizations of various sizes and industries. They are developing job search and employment-related resources and event promotions. They are working closely with organizations across Canada who share the goal of connecting immigrant job seekers with employment.

This could be a very useful ‘employment searching tool’ for newcomers seeking employment.

Their goal is to be the bridge between Canadian employers and potential employees, connecting immigrant job seekers with employment opportunities commensurate with their skills and abilities.

They also recognize that immigrant-serving agencies play a crucial role in integrating immigrants into the workforce, so they invite everyone to take advantage of the following opportunities. Here’s how:

Promote your employment-related events in the site event calendar.

  • Ensure people know about your employment workshops, networking events, job fairs and sessions.

List your organization's employment opportunities (free with the Non-Profit Package)

  • Fill your vacancies by listing them on jobsforimmigrants.ca

Send suggestions!

  •     If you have ideas for improvements to the site please let them know.

  • Do you work with recruiters and employers? Let them know and they will work with them to ensure their job opportunities are listed on the site.
