About ERIEC

The Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council (ERIEC) was created to address an urgent need within the Edmonton area —addressing barriers to immigrant’s meaningful labour market participation.

Our Mission Statement

The Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council is dedicated to ensuring immigrants become more fully integrated into the Edmonton regional labor market by focusing on knowledge transfer, information coordination and dissemination, and capacity building to employers, service providers and underutilized skilled immigrants.

Career Mentorship Pilot Program

The ERIEC Career Mentorship Pilot Program was launched in November 2009. Designed to be occupation-specific, the program matches foreign trained professional newcomers with established Canadian professionals within the same occupation.
